McQuilkin: "We Will Be Doing Our Best For Him"

James McQuilkin has spoken to Sky Sports about John Trewick's dismissal:

"It's obviously disappointing when a manager gets sacked and it affects everybody in different ways. But everybody is trying to stay upbeat and it's a new chance for some of the players. It's a fresh start and, basically, we will have to see how it goes.

"It's part of football, the manager knew that. It's part of the game and you have to just get your head up and get on with it and do your best for the club."

On Graham Turner's re-appearance in the dugout: "He knows the game really well and has got a lot of experience. He knows a lot about football, so the lads are fully behind him. We will be doing our best for him.

"He's been around the club for many years now so he knows the club inside out. He's a very experienced bloke and I'm sure he will manage to do well for us.

"It's a fresh start for everybody and we have all got the determination and ability to keep moving and progressing."

In the interview McQuilkin also talks of his time in Czech football. The full interview can be read here.
