O'Kelly has watched Pell

Hereford United manager Richard O'Kelly has watched Harry Pell play for Cambridge United whilst on loan it has been revealed.

And 'U's manager Jez George is sorry to see the youngster return to Edgar Street.

Pell's loan was for 31 days but Hereford reportedly had the right to recall him after 28 days.

"In all honesty, it’s no surprise because they’re bottom of the League and they want every player for their last three games," George told the Cambridge News.

"They’re probably looking at the situation thinking they need everyone there to try to get them out of trouble.

"I know their manager Richard O’Kelly has watched Harry playing for us.

"I don’t think he’d seen him before as I think they allowed him to go out on loan before he was there.

"He found out and wanted him back for their last three games and I totally understand that."
