Chester have confirmed the signing of Leeds pair Nathan and Lewis Turner on season long loan deals. The twins had loan spells with the Blues last season. Grimsby have signed defender Chris Doig on a one year deal following his release from York. The 32 year old Scot is reported to be the Mariners' final signing of the summer.

Chesterfield chairman Dave Allen says the club is running £130,000 over it's current playing budget but "Don't worry about the debts, we'll deal with it." Hyde have signed Blackpool's Liam Tomsett on a season long loan. The 21 year old spent last season with the Manchester club, playing 38 times.

Former Bulls winger James Baxendale has agreed a new three year deal with Walsall. The former Doncaster trainee, 20, started 23 League games for the Saddlers last term. Halifax manager Neil Aspin has signed a new two year deal with the club. The former Leeds and Port Vale defender will remain part-time but may switch to full-time status if the club holds onto fifth tier status.

Forest Green boss Dave Hockaday says he will make a contract offer to trialist striker Matthew Barnes-Homer, while he also tested former Walsall frontman George Bowerman and former Worcester striker Ethan Moore in last night's friendly with Cirencester - a game that the Gumpers threatened to walk out of after a series of heavy challenges. Aldershot have allowed striker Craig Reid to leave the club on a free transfer and sign for League Two Southend.

Coventry's chief executive Tim Fisher claims the the ultimatum offer from stadium owners ACL will drive the club into liquidation. The SISU puppet claims ACL will 'get the money that they are owed' from the CVA despite offering only a fraction of the actual debt. It is now being reported that, having previously reporting sales of under 300 season tickets last week, the club have sold only 210 for the coming season.

Aldershot have asked their Academy players to return to the club. The Shots scrapped their youth section after falling into Administration with the whole group set to be moved to Crawley. The Red Devils' own financial issues, where they are expected to go into Saturday's opening game with just 15 senior players, scuppered the plan with the Academy players left in limbo.
